This one is a bit tough to write about. Earlier this summer I had been going on 9 months strong battling a pernicious amount of depression and anxiety - it had felt like I had been swallowed up by a black cloud. It all came to a screeching halt when I abruptly decided to take medical leave from work to help me get back on my feet. During my 8 weeks of respite ‘Cemi’ came bursting through my soul.

I remember thinking to myself “man! these sound more dreamy, much more than my usual”. Definitely can sense and see with my synesthesia a swirling storm of colors and magic in these songs. Looking back now that I’m back at work, these represent a type of musical medicine that aided me to get back on my feet. Honestly I don’t think any of these sounds would have been created if I had not gone through what I did.
